Great meal. Great drinks. Great service. Yes, pricey - but was well worth the food/drink quality and flavors. Jimmie, the GM and Jose, our server were so nice and attentive. The food was amazing. Chicharonnes, Molotes, Madre's Enchiladas and what I call, the tres mole plate with chicken. So good. And the drinks! I had a cucumber mocktail that was delish! Another visit is deemed necessary.

It's my first time visiting and the reason I choose this restaurant is because they have live music. The service is no doubt, nice and frequently check-in to make sure you are satisfied. The food was delicious . However, only thing is the drink , I like more smooth taste, the drink I ordered is too much alcohol. I would visit the restaurant again!

My husband and I had a wonderful happy hour at Madre! Fun Friday Happy Hour!!!! We had a fabulous skinny Margarita. The queso fundido and the barbacoa taco are delicious. Very yummy! The restaurant had a great vibe. Jimmy, the General Manager, is super cordial and professional. He made us feel special. The staff are all very attentive. Prices are affordable. Totally recommend.

Jose took good care of us, gracias amigo! Tasty margaritas from the bar! This time I tried the Taste of Oaxaca. I gotta say that I liked it! Much different than the usual Mexican food that we all love. I'm a mezcal fan- they have good ones. We enjoyed three great salsas. The enchilada camaron was good.

Mezcal heaven! Great place to go for lunch, happy hour, or dinner. It's in the heart of old Torrance where you could also walk around and shop! Been here a few times but this trip- we came for their happy hour. Good food but very little portions for the price. You may be better off ordering from the dinner menu. Service was good. The bartender was nice and attentive.

Delicious! And great service! I just organized a coworker's baby shower at this location, and Melissa was so helpful, responsive, and friendly. She reserved the patio for our group of 11 and we were able to decorate and use an extra table for gifts and decor. I ordered the enmoladas with mole negro. Very much recommend. I tried some of the other moles and I also really liked the coloradito. I also had a passion fruit agua fresca and a cafe de olla. Both delicious! Easy parking in the underground garage.

The Good: The food overall was very good. My carne asada tacos were very tasty and had a slight kick which was nice. The Por Favor draft beer was also very good. Furthermore, the service was pretty good as well. The Not So Good: Automatic 20% gratuity sneakily added onto bill, where there was another open tip line to tip on top of the already generated tip. My problem with this is twofold - 1. Not sure why we were auto charged 20% gratuity when there was 4 of us + 2 kids. That is not a large group of people. 2. Trying to get unsuspecting victims to tip on top of another tip is so tacky. Also, just a heads up for parents - they only have one booster seat in the entire restaurant so keep that in mind and prep accordingly. They have more high chairs, however. Overall, I'd be down to go back because, once again, the food and overall experience was pleasant. That said, the bill rubbed me the wrong way. This is coming from someone who does typically tip min 20% regardless.
